Motivation To READ!!!

Bill Gates reads a book a week.
Elon Musk reads books for 5 hours daily.
Oprah Winfrey is known for reading 3 hours daily.

Now if you don't know who these people are......

Bill Gates was the richest man on earth, he founded Microsoft at the age of 20.He says that he aimed to become a millionaire by the age of 30 but actually became a BILLIONAIRE at 31 !!!

He says ,"Reading is still the main way that I both learn new things and test my understanding."

Now what's your reason to not read!

Elon Musk is termed as  'The Genius of the Century'.He is the founder of companies like Tesla, PayPal and SpaceX. He actually started to code by the age of 7 and sold his first game for 500$.

When he was asked how he learned to build rockets. He said,"I read books"

I ask you again,"What's your reason to not read"

Oprah Winfrey was so poor that she went to school wearing potato sacks. She is the first black woman billionaire and the richest African-american and she is also referred by many as the most influential woman in the world.

She has famously said,“Books allowed me to see a world beyond the front porch of my grandmother’s shotgun house…[and] the power to see possibilities beyond what was allowed at the time.”

WHY DON'T YOU START READING FROM TODAY ITSELF AND BECOME A LIFELONG LEARNER.

REMEMBER, "READERS ARE LEADERS."

My list of famous celebrities could go on and on........

But I want you to be the next person in this list!!!!!
Not only in this list but any list of influential and famous people which you can possibly find in the world!!

Sounds impossible......HUH!!

Read carefully.....
When Jeff Bezos was establishing Amazon in 1998, it was said that a company like this had a super high chance to fail (around 99%).
Now you see this company in 2020. Who does not know Amazon!!

And what did he start with....?
He started with selling BOOKS.

Reading someone's book is like going through his/her life.
The book-Think And Grow Rich written by Napoleon Hill took a jaw dropping research time of 25 YEARS!! Just imagine what would it be like to surf the pages of this book in 25 days. Mathematically speaking, your one day of reading would be equivalent to a year of experience of that author.

Stop wasting and start investing your precious time in gaining knowledge through books.Make books your best friend because they are not going to leave you and help you face difficult times.

To boost imagination read fiction books like The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien ,it took him 17 years to write this book.
To read and learn about business, finance and entrepreneurship check finance related book recommendations by Bill Gates.
To learn about spirituality and moral values, there is no one better other than Swami Vivekananda.

Date:23/4/2020
Time:10:00 p.m.

Hello friends,
Last night I pushed my body to sleep forcefully at 10:00 p.m. to wake up at 4:00 a.m. because the period of time 96 minutes before sunrise is called 'Brahma Muhurat' where 'Muhurat' is the time period and 'Brahma' is basically God Brahma. According to me, it is called so because this is the time period of God Brahma who is the creator of universe according to Hindu religious texts.

Why did I wake up at 4:00 a.m.?
Last night, instead of seeing television I chose my tablet and the first thing that popped up in recommendations was 'Jaane Brahma Muhurt ka pura sach' which means that get to know the complete truth of Brahma Muhurt by the youtube channel named 'Self Improvement Pill' and now I regret that why didn't I watch it earlier.A quick link to the video-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2023MjUxO0&t=139s.
I really woke up at 4:00 a.m. and didn't feel drowsy at all.First thing I do is to drink two full glasses of water which makes me feel fresh and energetic the whole day. Then I started to meditate roughly around 4:05 a.m, finished around 4:45 a.m ,in the video it was said that we should read religious texts early morning,I started reading Bhagavad Gita,I have been reading it since the last ten days and this book is just out of the world, it should definitely be on everyone's reading list.
Started reading from 5:00 a.m, started feeling drowsy from 5:10 a.m and my condition till 5:50 a.m. was like

I was nevertheless awake for the whole day.but anyways.....
In today's blog I want to talk about 'Vipassana Meditation'
This is said to be one of the most powerful meditation.
'Vi' here means special and 'passana' means to meditate. This word just means to meditate in a special way or a special way of seeing.

What is so 'special'?
Well ,in Vipassana meditation we are taught to focus on a thing, trying not to keep its identity in mind while focusing. For example,If you are focusing on any object such as a bottle, you will have to forget that it is a bottle,in this way we will keep pondering that if it is not a bottle, then what is it?
TRY ONCE, IT'S A SUPERB EXPERIENCE

1) In this way we become more and more CURIOUS with more and more practice
2) Our power of OBSERVATION will soar up to another level cause sitting and staring at one thing to identify it's identity would force us to observe it for countless hours.
3) Another thing to keep in mind is to see things which you see whole day for atleast 2 minutes forgetting its identity, i.e. keep observing everything.

Vipassana meditation includes :-

1) Kayanupassana meditation
2) Vedananupassana meditation
3) Chittanupassana meditation
4) Dhammapassana meditation

1) In Kayanupasssana meditation, we sit for meditation observing everything that we experience in our body, 'kaya' means our body. For example, we feel some pain in our legs, back etc. during meditation. We just need to observe that pain asking ourselves question about its origin,it's magnitude etc..after observing it for sometime, that pain just vanishes and this cycle continues until a time when we feel painless.

2) In Vedanupassana meditation, we observe our feelings and thoughts while meditating not reacting to them, after practising this for a long time we will get the power to eradicate the negative feelings and thoughts and keeping only what is positive, 'vedana' means feelings . Over 90% of thoughts which we get are useless and they just make the brain saturated. Just imagine how positive we will be, how much brain power we can use in productive things and how our power to understand our emotions more deeply boosts up.

3) Chittanupassana meditation, it is almost like vedanupassana meditation where 'chitta' is the soul, we have to again observe but this time the thoughts which come into our mind, i.e. we have to contemplate the mind.

4) In Dhammapassana meditation ,we observe the rules and regulations religion down in our religion. 'Dhamma' means our duties or our 'dharam' which is a Hindi word. There are rules and regulations written down in every religion to attain salvation,to observe and follow these regulations is our duty.

I just gave an insight into this meditation, full courses are available on YouTube.

The essence of Vipassana meditation is in the art of observation. Observation is the key to perform this special and powerful meditation.
First, try it for 10 minutes the first time and then increase the time duration for this meditation.

Benefits are unlimited, but to enjoy these benefits, a big first step has to be taken, then everything will go smooth later on.

I challenge you to try this meditation early in the morning for the next 3 days and if you feel any difference ,please comment so that others could get motivated.

Thank you.

Indian Education System (The most outdated ,still the most controversial and discussed topic)

Hello Lovely Audience,

In today's blog I am going to talk about the India's prevailing education system, some of my experiences in growing up in a education system which discriminates on the basis of marks and how according to me, a revolution could be brought in this system resulting in a tremendous impact.

First of all let's talk about the etymology of the word  'education'.
Education is derived from the word 'educe' which means to develop or bring out something.'Real education' is meant to bring out the character , foster cultural values in a person. It is meant to nurture his/her potential ,etc. - these are the things you will find when you google. Education for me is to teach students how to invest on different marketing platforms, apply for loans, the banking procedures and formalities, how to negotiate ,development of communication skills and how to code (learn a programming language) in essence, making a student ready to face any difficulties in the future.
The next question that might pop-up in you minds is that-
Why learning a programming language is essential?
Learning a programming language is essential because it helps a person analyze any problem effectively helping him/her to develop critical thinking cause that's the essence of programming, first you analyze the problem, then break it into steps and give the instructions (in programming language) to the computer to get it solved. Learning how to program can make you rich? REALLY......the games which we play on computer, the app through which we shop online ,etc. are just the instructions given to the computer in some or the other programming language.Developing games and apps and selling them online can earn you a way lot more money than you can imagine.

MY FAVOURITE PART........
THE INVINCIBLE INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

To my audience abroad, if you also hate the education system in your country then START APPRECIATING IT FROM TODAY ITSELF.......you will know why?

Speaking of me, my school days usually started at 6:45 with the morning prayer, then from 7:00 to 12:30 which included a recess time of 15 minutes, we used to cram enormous amounts of information (Hey, we need some material to vomit on the exam papers), then we proceeded for dispersal after completing the Six Cruel Hours Of  Our Life, didn't guess it?(SCHOOL).
I studied 10 subjects(Physics,Chemistry,Biology,Mathematics,English Language,English Literature,History,Geography,Hindi,Computer).
We are required to learn a ton of definitions,Indian students are used to this statement-"This can come for the exam, LEARN BY HEART".Definitions should be learnt even if we do not understand it, by the way we are not even required to understand it,because "it may not come in the exams anyway....".We are portable dictionaries, ready to provide the information 'word-to-word' to the whole world.
In my case we had to request our teacher to take us to laboratories to apply our knowledge practically,BUT that would be only possible when the 'syllabus' for the current academic session was over, then we would go to laboratories to see our teacher perform the experiment and we had to perform the experiment in the same way, not allowed to experiment out of our curiosity.
I remember my class was taken to the Physics laboratory only twice in the 8-10 months of our study period in my 10th standard.
My teachers used to give us the markings of the points which were important (for developing a strong foundation for future? How could you even think about that ,it is for EXAMS!).
No one is more burdened than a Indian student-

10 subjects,20 textbooks,200 chapters,700 sub-chapters,infinite number of definitions,700 relatives to ask about marks,200 times more pressure of study than an average human, 20 times more study hours to invest than an average human and what we are left with is 10% of our time for maintaining fitness.
This is just a rough number.

We are not allowed select the number of subjects to study and choose the subjects of our interest. It is decided by the School for middle school kids and by the board for the high school kids.

There are three categories :-(except subject, everything is STEREOTYPICAL)

SUBJECT             DESCRIPTION               STUDENT NATURE            TEACHER'S AFFECTION

                               'FOR GENIUSES'          STUDIOUS,OBEDIENT            8,9,10  /  10
SCIENCE             'RESPECT'                      TEACHER'S PET

COMMERCE      'FOR THOSE WHO        SCOUNDRELS,STUPID           1,2,3  /  10
                              THINK THAT STUDY    ONLY FUN-SEEKERS
                               SUCKS'

ARTS                     N.A.                                  N.A.                                           N.A.

This is how students are discriminated on the basis of the subjects they choose.
The moment we choose Science,10 subjects are glued on us.And all subjects need to be studied with detail, and most of the people 'have' to opt for science even if the hate it,because it has a social status attached to it.
The moment you choose Commerce, you have to study 7 to 8 subjects on average plus tolerate all the taunting that will be fired on you for about the whole year which gradually declines until the year ends.
Arts is deemed as a subject for people who are 'good-for-nothing'.
I have special interest in subjects like Physics,Mathematics,Geography,Economics,Computer Science BUT...
Wait.....wait......wait....
I AM NOT ALLOWED THIS PRIVILEGE.....after taking Science,I need to study Chemistry and Biology. Some International boards in India give students the freedom to choose any subject they might want to study. But boards like ICSE and CBSE are lacking a lot in this concern.

Well anyways......
Sorry Chemistry and Biology lovers for being so rude.I like human anatomy but plant biology has made Biology the most hated subject for me.

MY EXPERIENCES
I once had a doubt during Physics lecture. My Physics teacher told me to meet her after school in the staff room,I went hastily with my textbook ready and asked her the doubt. She told me,"Why do you need to study this might not come in exams?".But I insisted her to clear my doubt,She said,"From exam point of view........mark this.....mark this......and MOST IMPORTANTLY study this, you can fetch GOOD MARKS".I thought that GOOD MARKS was all that our education system needed,no need to build a foundation, no need to explore the topic, no need to discover or invent anything new from that knowledge, just study what is required and you are DONE.I was infuriated after asking her four times the same doubt and getting the same answer which included the words,'EXAM POINT OF VIEW'.I said to her very calmly,"Thank you miss,I won't ever have a doubt in Physics now".

Another incident from Physics subject ,me and my friend ,we both needed to study the Physics chapter "Household electricity" all over so we sat after school for one hour ONLY. I was unable to attend the lecture for this chapter so I was very excited before studying this chapter. We reached Art Room where our teacher sat,we were now ready with our textbooks open. Now he said,"You need not study the first page, only learn the points which I am giving you'll".Now,my CURIOSITY to learn something new was over.I thought that I would get to know new concepts and I will apply it in real life.I knew now that he would only explain the concepts which were IMPORTANT for exams,he would now give some cancellations and would drive us out in just one hour, and this really happened. Now you know why did I use the word 'ONLY' above. He was also correct in some way because we had exams next day,but still,I believe that if all concepts and doubts are cleared and all the content is explained no matter how much time it takes,it would help the student excel in exams as well as making students more curious and observant. But that's just a dream because marks are given more weightage than knowledge. Please COMMENT if you'll agree with me.

My English Literature teacher used to tell,"Even when someone wakes you up and ask you any Act and Scene from Merchant Of Venice, you should speak readily".Merchant of Venice and Shakespeare's other plays were made for people to rejoice. Why I are we taught Shakespeare's plays in the first place? Everybody after eighth grade has this same complain.I say we can be taught Shakespeare's plays when :-

1) Our school has proper theatre facilities, these are PLAYS!!
2) They are taught in modern English,we were taught Shakespeare in 400 year old English ! It should be taught in Old English when you have Theatres and Drama, this is how we can feel it.
3) Highly qualified and experienced teachers in teaching Shakespearean plays.

MY SUGGESTIONS
Our Education system can be revolutionized by moving from theoretical to a more practical way of teaching thus forcing schools, universities to develop more laboratories helping students to experiment with greater freedom and research centres to develop research facilities which are at par with international standards. Thus,it could boost the economy of India in some years ahead by minimizing brain drain henceforth reducing unemployment and improving India's ranking in Global Innovation Index increasing the number of patents held by India.

We should make sports and fitness sessions compulsory every day at every school for every student.A student should be given an option to choose a sport which he/she enjoys among 5 to 6 other options, schools should start everyday with a 30 minute workout session separate for boys and girls which can include stretching ,strength ,cardio and other types of exercises. We should have a meditation session for another 15 minutes and then we should give 15 minutes for them to freshen up and start with study session for another 4 hours where before recess, they would have a 45 minute training and playing of the sport they chose .We can give student a choice between indoor and outdoor sports with fitness compulsory for all,he/she should be given all possible knowledge in that field and should be pushed to excellence, given the choice to opt out and join another sport in any category  (indoor and outdoor) every 3 months or continue that sport for a whole year.India should host school games in all categories 4 times a year.Increased sports exposure in schools will lead to a cut-throat competition where only the best could win.The top 20 individual winners in all individual sports and top 5 teams in team sports should be sent for advance international training for Olympics.
HEY ,IF YOU HAVE READ TILL HERE THEN CONGRATULATIONS.BELIEVE ME , I HAVE A FULL FLEDGED PLAN READY FOR THIS .PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU WANT A WHOLE BLOG DEDICATED TO THIS TOPIC.

This will surely increase India's medal tally in Olympics and other International sporting events, develop a healthy workforce which has it's own benefits and encourage everyone to stay fit and healthy.
This will force government to invest more money in developing Sports infrastructure, thus India would get the honour of hosting the biggest sporting events.

According to me, the schools should make military training compulsory, where every student is given a 1 hour training in military strategy, teamwork, cooperation and tactics and the next 1 hour there should be a session where students listen to patriotic army stories, sing patriotic songs etc. and rejoice themselves. And at the end, there should be flag hosting, flag hosting is not only meant to be observed on 15th August and 26th January. You must have already guessed the benefits of this routine.

Schools should also teach students about the rich culture and heritage of India, and they should take students on educational tours to uncountable historic places we have in India, and all schools should conduct International exchange programs for top students of their school, who are all-rounders and are worthy enough to represent school on an international platform.
Schools should at least teach Bhagavad Gita to students,Bhagavad Gita is included in the curriculum of top schools in Europe and top universities of the world like Harvard,Oxford etc.,and mind you this book is not only meant to be read by Hindus as Lord Krishna speaks about well-being of each and every human.Check out this video-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHCRBLtmpBk

This blog was too long,I am sorry.Thank you for being with me for so long.I spoke with a perspective of a 10th grader and I mainly targeted ICSE and CBSE boards.
The information which I shared is out of my experience and my suggestions are maybe not relevant for a country like ours and it could take years to be implemented,we know our government's speed.
If anyone has been hurted and want to give some suggestions, please comment down below, I will surely 'implement' it as soon as possible........LOL.

THANK YOU.

Date:12th April,2020
Time 11:51pm
I have been experiencing the so called "blisters" in my mind.
Hey, I am currently in 10th (practically),but technically in 11th std.
My board exams have been postponed, everyone knows that by the way, not worth sharing.

But anyways.......
Let's come to the point
Today's day was as normal as it could be
We are currently '6' members living in a flat with '6` times 2 work each day.
I woke up at 7:32, precisely, again by the rhythms of 'morning bhajans'.
Today I was assigned with the task of cleaning the fans ,Do the evening utensils and as usual sanitize the complete home.

The way I usually sanitize is by taking a mug
Pouring a 2/3 cap of dettol antiseptic liquid, mix some alcohol in it (for the ones who have started drooling let me clarify its the sanitizer).
Just fill the mug with 5/7 water.Hey don't mind if I am using too complicated a numbers, I am a sort of a number ghost
Searching for some exciting numbers to flirt with
But anywayssss.....
I start with sanitizing all the possible places with a piece of cloth drenched in that magical chemical where touching or holding or any sort of activity is frequent .(knobs , doors , switches , windows ,tables , chairs , drawers etc.)and then sanitize the doorbell and balcony grills)
You can take this as a learning point.
Regularly sanitize your home during this period of crisis,
COVID-19 has taught us a great lesson to maintain hygiene and cleanliness

Then finishing my morning chores, our family sits for 'Ramayana' then 'Byomkesh Bakshi' and then finally 'Mahabharata' .There is something peculiar in these shows that we experience 'double curfew' first one at a macro level,
No one leaves the house , no matter what.(only and until essential supplies are inadequate)
And second at a micro level, no one leaves their place during these time slots.

After afternoon 1'o clock everyone is busy in their own work
I switch on my tablet, put on my headphones, open youtube and start watching crash course's economics playlist
I have been watching it for a while now.

I had started to learn music theory, since yesterday

I have learnt to cook.

And I am now learning how to blog, this is my first blog by the way.

This brings us to our second learning, this free time which we have got is as precious as gold and diamonds
This is the time which we can utilize to bow the seeds of gold and diamonds and see them grow into trees of golds and diamonds(Really!!!!)
Invest your time into learning new things and skills, give your brain something new to learn everyday and see it giving you unprecedented returns in the future.I will talk about more of this in my next blog.

After being busy till 7'o clock .My family again gathered together on the zoom conference meeting app with our family friends to discuss about ourselves.
The ladies usually talked about losing their weight due to excessive workload and gents (believe me they are all politicians) discussing politics and current affairs extensively.
After getting free by 8 we had our dinner
And were again ready for another dose of 'Ramayana'
I mainly watch it to learn fabulous Hindi vocabulary,
And after finishing it by 10:30 we again gathered to reflect upon ourselves, take a moment to think about the downtrodden,In what ways can we help them etc.
This is another and last learning point today
We should reflect upon ourselves to know our flaws and how to improve them.
And take a moment to just think about the conditions which the poor are facing which directly conveys our sympathy to them through universal law of subconscious mind,it also fills us with a feeling of gratitude and oneness)

After getting finished,I started writing this blog to share my experience with everyone.
'Experience and knowledge are the only two indestructible weapons'- Keshav Ladha
Now don't go searching on google that who the heck is this guy.

Its me.
